BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 1 /SRNA/ – Projects in 59 local self-government units across Republika Srpska are being financed this year with BAM 215 million from budget funds allocated for public investments, the Republika Srpska Government announced.
The budget for public investments this year is four times larger than in 2025, reflecting the entity's financial stability, it is published on the Republika Srpska Government's official X account.
"The implementation of the planned investments is encouraging the economic development of Republika Srpska and all local communities," the Government added.
It was noted that all municipalities and cities that requested assistance from the Ministry of Finance received support in line with the budget's capabilities.
The projects are primarily infrastructure-related, including roads, schools, cultural centres, and water supply improvements.
The Government emphasized that these investments will contribute to the development of local communities and improve the quality of life in municipalities and cities.
It also noted that BAM 500 million is being allocated to finance projects at the republic level.
