NINE LOCAL COMMUNITIES WILL SOON HAVE A STREET NAMED AFTER VICTIMS OF JASENOVAC

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 18 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska today transferred BAM 1.5 million in support to the municipalities of Glamoč, Drvar and Bosanski Petrovac, the Ministry of Finance of Republika Srpska announced.

The payment was made in accordance with the Protocol on the support of Republika Srpska to municipalities in the Federation of BiH with a majority Serb population, which was signed in October last year.

The funds are intended for projects that will improve living conditions of the Serb population in these municipalities, including the reconstruction of infrastructure and support to the local economy.

The municipalities of Glamoč, Drvar and Bosanski Petrovac submitted a list of projects, for the implementation of which BAM 500,000 each was allocated from the Budget of Republika Srpska.

Republika Srpska will continue to provide financial support to municipalities with a Serb population in the Federation of BiH, and activities aimed at preserving the national, cultural and religious identity of the Serb people in those areas will also continue, the Ministry of Finance of Republika Srpska emphasized.
