ANTONOVIĆ: AS LONG AS DODIK IS THE PRESIDENT THERE WILL BE REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJALUKA, APRIL 11 /SRNA/ - Security expert Ratomir Antonović assessed that the attacks on Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić are not only attacks on them as political figures, but on Srpska and Serbia, that is, the Serbian people.

"As long as Milorad Dodik is the president, there will be Republika Srpska as well. While Aleksandar Vučić is the president, Serbia will be a strong country and a serious international factor," Antonović said in the SRNA podcast.

Antonović emphasized that the unity of the people is a formula for the survival of the Serbs, as well as a clear policy that does not imply a struggle for power, but for a better political position of the people.

"If anyone thinks that they will profit by having Dodik dismissed or arrested, they are very much mistaken. For the survival of Republika Srpska and Serbia, changes at this moment would not be useful," said Antonović, who is also a research associate at the Institute for Serbian Culture from Leposavić.

He believes that there will be no conflict in BiH and that such a scenario is not possible because everyone still remembers the previous war and no one wants to go through a similar terrifying period again .

"I hope that there will be wisdom among those who talk about it. Probably, someone would want conflicts in order to cancel the Dayton Agreement. What was created by Dayton, which is Republika Srpska, is a stone in the shoe for most of them. What bothers them the most is that the Serbian people got one degree of autonomy," Antonović pointed out.

Antonović also spoke for SRNA about the position of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, the attitude of Bosniak political representatives towards the leaders of the self-proclaimed Kosovo, the possibility of closing the "Bondstil" base, and the opening of peace talks and stopping the conflict in Ukraine.
