ANTONOVIĆ: AS LING AS DODIK IS PRESIDENT, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA WILL EXISTBANJA LUKA, APRIL 12 /SRNA/ - Research associate at the Institute of Serbian Culture from Leposavić and security expert Ratomir Antonović told SRNA that the attacks on Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić are not only attacks on them as political figures, but on Srpska and Serbia, i.e. the Serb people in general.
"As long as Milorad Dodik is president, Republika Srpska will exist. As long as Aleksandar Vučić is president, Serbia will be a strong country and a serious international factor," Antonović stated in SRNA podcast.
He says that those who say that the court process against the president of Republika Srpska before the Court of BiH is his personal matter, do not know what they are talking about or are tendenciously trying to hide the truth.
"It is understandable that people in Sarajevo say that, but it is incomprehensible that someone who lives in Republika Srpska is saying that. From a legal point of view, that court procedure should never have taken place. He did not act voluntarily, but according to the decision of the Republika Srpska National Assembly," said Antonović.
He points out that proceedings have been initiated against the Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly Nenad Stevandić and Prime Minister Radovan Višković, adding that the three most important positions are being attacked in this way.
"Sarajevo is trying to put Republika Srpska under its wing and boot," Antonović believes.
He says that there will be no conflict in BiH and that such a scenario is not possible because the people have witnessed the war and no one wants to go through that terrifying period again.
"I hope there will be wisdom among those who talk about it. Probably, someone would like the conflicts in order to cancel the Dayton Peace Agreement. What was created by the Dayton, which is Republika Srpska, is a stone in the shoe for most of them. What bothers them the most is that the Serb people obtained a degree of autonomy," Antonović pointed out.
THE DAYTON PROTECTS REPUBLIKA SRPSKA AUTONOMY AND SERBS’ POLITICAL STRENGTH
Research associate at the Institute of Serbian Culture from Leposavić and security expert Ratomir Antonović told SRNA that none of the parties were satisfied with that document during the signing of the Dayton, but today, it is a barrier in the protection of Republika Srpska sovereignty, which is why it is necessary to fight against the revision requested by Sarajevo.
"It is dangerous to play with things that are relatively shallow. We are talking about something that happened 30 years ago. That is a short period for history. You now want to wake up the ghosts of the past in the worst possible scenario," Antonović said.
Speaking about the role of the unappointed foreigner Christian Schmidt, he said that he is staying in BiH beyond all international protocols and regulations.
"He has anti-Serbian sentiment and works for the interests of Bosniaks," said Antonović.
He states that all the problems in BiH were caused by the interventionism of internationals who were replacing officials, imposing laws and institutions.
"I believe the people would live much better here without the foreing factor interfering," said Antonović.
