BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 18 /SRNA/ - The National Assembly of Republika Srpska appointed Ana Trišić Babić as the acting President of Republika Srpska during its session held this evening in Banja Luka.
Forty-eight deputies voted in favor of the decision, four voted against, and there were no abstentions. Most opposition deputies, namely from the SDS and PDP, did not take part in the vote.
The National Assembly also adopted the Law on the Termination of Validity of Certain Laws, including the Law on Immovable Property Used for the Functioning of Public Authority, the Law on Non-Implementation of Decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH, the Election Law of Republika Srpska, the Law on Non-Implementation of Laws and Prohibition of Operation of Unconstitutional BiH Institutions, the Law Amending the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska, and the Law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Republika Srpska.
Lawmakers further adopted a conclusion repealing the conclusions related to the information on the erosion of the legal order in BiH through violations of the Dayton Peace Agreement, adopted on December 25 of last year.
After the vote, Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić concluded the special session.
