AMIDŽIĆ: PEOPLE SHOULD CHOOSE THEIR REPRESENTATIVES

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 4 /SRNA/ - The Secretary-General of the SNSD, Srđan Amidžić, stated today in Banja Luka that the commitment of any normal party in BiH is that people should choose their representatives.

“We cannot accept that one individual decides for all those who live here. That is Christian Schmidt today, but tomorrow it could be someone else,” Amidžić said at a press conference following the session of the SNSD Main Board.

He asked whether it is normal for his colleagues from the Federation of BiH that one individual can suspend the constitution of that entity.

In his opinion, the public is being given the impression that the SNSD only wants positions of power, and he called on the opposition to nominate a prime minister and select the ministry.

“We don’t need elections. What do you want? If you don’t want it, I have the right to say that you /opposition/ have betrayed the institutions,” Amidžić said.

Today, the SNSD firmly rejected the verdict against the President of Republika Srpska, emphasizing that at a time when political silencing is being forcibly imposed, it will stand even more strongly and clearly behind its president, Milorad Dodik, according to the conclusions unanimously adopted by the Main Board as proposed by the Presidency.
