VUČIĆ: CROATIAN FANS AT POLJUD STADIUM SHOWED WHAT THEIR "VALUES" ARE

BELGRADE, AUGUST 4 /SRNA/ – President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić stated that Croatian football fans disgraced themselves at the Poljud Stadium in Split by chanting "Go, Ustashas, go!" and "For Homeland – Ready!" clearly showing what their so-called "values" are, emphasizing that he is proud that Serbia and the Serb people have always been a main barrier to occupation, Nazism, and fascism.

Vučić remarked that such slogans glorifying the Ustasha are worse or at least as bad as shouting "Go Hitler!" and Nazi salute "Sieg Heil!" but said that, unfortunately, there would be no reaction to it.

"Everyone will pretend not to see it, and it will all be labeled under what they call rule of law and their values. Well, we don’t share those values. In Serbia, fascism and Nazism, and Nazi values, have never been accepted and I'm proud that Serbia and the Serb people have always been the primary resistance against the occupiers, Nazism, and fascism, and will remain so in the future," Vučić told the press in Badovinci.

Vučis said he is proud of the people who gathered in Sremski Karlovci the night before to mark the 30th anniversary of the suffering of Serbs during the Croatian military Operation Storm, where, according to him, only facts and the truth were presented.

He added that the atmosphere in Split didn't surprise him, and that those involved were just waiting for their moment.

"I'm proud that we have always stood on the opposite side of such people," Vučić stated.

He stressed that what matters most is that Serbia has had time to recover from all that has been done to it, and continues to be done, and that it will preserve Kosovo and Metohija, continue building its infrastructure, and strengthen its army to unprecedented levels.

"We saw a powerful military the other day, but soon you'll see our army too. I believe in some areas it will be significantly stronger," Vučić concluded.
