TIVAT SUMMIT TO CONFIRM COMMITMENT BETWEEN EU AND THE BALKANS

BRUSSELS, MAY 29 /SRNA/ - The EU is the primary and most reliable partner of the Balkan countries, and the summit in Tivat on June 5 will provide an opportunity to reaffirm that partnership, the European Council said.

"The EU-Western Balkans summit, to be held on Friday, June 5, in Tivat, Montenegro, will be an opportunity for the EU to reiterate its unequivocal commitment to the Western Balkans' EU membership perspective", the Council said in a post on X.

The statement added that the Union and the region are "partners, reliable neighbors and friends" who share "values and history".
