BIJELJINA, SEPTEMBER 16 /SRNA/ – President of Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić says the KLA is a terrorist organisation and that the verdict handed down by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague against former KLA leaders was conditioned by Europe’s flirting with terrorist organisations, including Hamas.

"The fact is that there is a kind of cowardice involved, because those responsible for horrific crimes receive a lesser sentence when it concerns the KLA, which uses terrorist methods," Stevandić told SRNA.

Stevandić says it is obvious that an uncivilized approach produces greater results.

The court in The Hague today sentenced four former KLA leaders to a combined total of 81 years in prison. Hashim Thaçi and Jakup Krasniqi were each sentenced to 25 years, Kadri Veseli to 18 years, and Rexhep Selimi to 13 years.

The prosecutor had requested 45 years in prison for each of them.
