BELGRADE, JUNE 10 /SRNA/ - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac stated that Republika Srpska is a strong advocate of joining the "Open Balkans" initiative due to its awareness of the economic benefits it offers to businesses.
During a meeting in Belgrade with Serbia’s Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade, Jagoda Lazarević, held on the sidelines of the international “Expo” exhibition, Košarac said that the excellent relationship between the Presidents of Republika Srpska and Serbia, Milorad Dodik and Aleksandar Vučić, forms the foundation for further strengthening the overall ties between the two countries.
“Serbia is one of our most important foreign trade partners, and we share a mutual commitment to further strengthening and enhancing economic cooperation for the benefit of both sides,” Košarac told SRNA.
Košarac added that he also discussed cooperation within the CEFTA framework with Lazarević, and the shared assessment is that “Expo 2027” in Belgrade will be an excellent opportunity to promote and showcase domestic economic potential.
He said that he invited Lazarević to visit Republika Srpska and BiH in the near future.
