DODIK: WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO DECLARE THIS CENTURY A CENTURY OF SERBIAN UNIFICATION

BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 20 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said today at a session of the Council for Cooperation between Serbia and Republika Srpska that the Serbian people have the right to declare this century a century of their unification, given the suffering they endured in the past century.

Dodik emphasized that Republika Srpska was created in peace, successfully defended in war, and, as was believed, internationally verified under the Dayton Agreement, but today there are attempts to take this verification away from it.

"The intention to build BiH as an imaginary construct was never abandoned. BiH was created in Dayton as an expression of the delusion of the then most powerful unipolar state, under the Bill Clinton administration, that it was possible to build a small Yugoslavia on the ruins of the old one. In doing so, they put a straitjacket on us called BiH," Dodik said.

He added that many had warned that the creation of BiH was a mistake.

He also emphasized that the EU cannot be trusted and that Republika Srpska can function only under conditions of respect.

"The Dayton Agreement granted an independent Republika Srpska within BiH, but this was not accepted by the collective West," Dodik added in his address.
