DESTRUCTION IN THE VILLAGE OF REZALA GREATER THAN REPORTED BY SO-CALLED KOSOVO POLICE

DEČANI, SEPTEMBER 7 /SRNA/ - At least nine houses and the building of the local community of Sveta Trojica were demolished in the village of Rezala in Kosovo and Metohija on September 4, rather than the six structures initially reported by the so-called Kosovo police, the Visoki Dečani Monastery said in a post on X.

"The difference in the numbers is not a detail. It is the extent of what was taken away from a small Serb village in a single day. The building was not a weekend house. The villagers built it themselves and used it for nearly two decades for the village's patron saint's day and community gatherings," the monastery said in the post.

It was also noted that previous EU calls for such actions to be halted until ownership is resolved had failed to stop the demolitions, and that if the remaining structures are demolished before decisions are made, the loss will become irreversible.
