BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 4 /SRNA/ - Darko Mladić, the son of General Ratko Mladić, called on all friends, supporters, and citizens to come to Belgrade in large numbers on Monday, September 7, to pay their respects to the general and accompany him to his final resting place with dignity.
He said that the general's body would be at St. Luke's Church in Vidikovac from 7:00 a.m., where the final farewell would be held until noon, after which the procession would proceed to Topčider Cemetery, where Mladić will be buried alongside his daughter Ana.
The funeral will be held at around 2:00 p.m., depending on the time the procession arrives at the cemetery.
General Ratko Mladić died on August 27.
The coffin containing General Mladić's remains was flown from the Netherlands to Belgrade yesterday afternoon and was then transferred to the Military Medical Academy /VMA/, where an autopsy will be performed.
General Ratko Mladić died at the detention hospital in The Hague on August 27. The Hague Mechanism rejected several requests for the general to be released so that he could receive medical treatment in Serbia.
