AMERICANS DESTROYED CHINESE EMBASSY IN BELGRADE

BIJELJINA, MAY 6 /SRNA/ - During the aggression against FR Yugoslavia, on May 7, 1999, American planes destroyed the Chinese Embassy building in Belgrade with five missiles, killing three Chinese journalists.

The Pentagon later claimed that the destruction of the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade was a "mistake".

One civilian was also killed during the bombing of the nearby Yugoslavia Hotel.

Previously, NATO aviation disabled key substations in the wider area of Belgrade with bombs containing highly conductive materials, causing a partial collapse of the power system in Serbia.

NATO's aggression against FR Yugoslavia, whose main goal was the separation of Kosovo and Metohija from Serbia and the establishment of a large military base in that area, was carried out in defiance of the UN decision, during which the Alliance committed a series of serious war crimes that it has never acknowledged or held accountable for in court.
