BIJELJINA, OCTOBER 29 /SRNA/ - The crash of an "Inex-Adria" plane on a flight from Tivat to Prague on October 30, 1975, killed 75 passengers, while 45 survived.

The plane took off in the morning with 115 passengers and five crew members, bound for Prague airport.

As the plane approached the capital of what was then Czechoslovakia, it became clear that poor visibility made a safe landing impossible.

Air traffic control suggested the plane circle and wait for better conditions or divert to another airport.

However, all this confused the crew, who could not rely on the navigation system for landing. As a result, the plane mistakenly descended into the gorge cut by the Vltava River.

Realizing where they were, the pilots applied full engine power and tried to climb out of the river gorge, but it was too late.

The plane struck trees and a building and crashed near Suchdol, seven kilometers from the center of Prague.
