EIGHT INJURED EUFOR MEMBERS FLOWN TO ITALY FOR TREATMENT

BRČKO, NOVEMBER 3 /SRNA/ – Eight EUFOR members injured in a helicopter crash were transported today from Brčko Hospital to Tuzla in military ambulances. From Tuzla, they will be flown on a special flight to Italy for further treatment.

After the crash, their minor injuries were treated at Brčko Hospital, and they were assessed as fit to be transported to Italy.

One of the injured from the helicopter remains in Brčko Hospital, and his transfer to Italy is expected at the end of the week.

EUFOR said that two members of the Italian Armed Forces and two members of the Italian Red Cross Military Corps were killed and 11 people were injured when an Italian helicopter crashed near Brčko on Thursday, October 29.
