DRVAR, AUGUST 20 /SRNA/ - Serbia continues to provide concrete development support to the municipality of Drvar, as demonstrated by the planned delivery of equipment for the Jumko facility in the town, Mayor Dušica Runić said.
Runić told SRNA that the equipment to be delivered to the Jumko facility in Drvar would improve and facilitate work at the largest manufacturing company in the municipality and Canton 10.
“As always, what was promised has been delivered!” Runić said, referring to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s announcement that equipment for the Jumko factory in Drvar would arrive tomorrow.
Runić said that the management of Jumko in Drvar had been trying for some time to find a way to acquire new equipment that would improve the company’s operations.
“Thanks to the support of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, their plans have been realized,” Runić said.
She stressed that the first phase of construction of a commercial building for a shopping centre is also expected to begin soon, a project Vučić announced during his third working visit to Drvar.
“The shopping centre building will make it easier for potential investors to decide to open a business here. We are currently discussing which option would be most beneficial for the residents and for the municipality as the initiator of this very important development project,” Runić said.
While visiting the Jumko facility in Drvar together with President Milorad Dodik on August 2, Vučić said that Serbia would invest an additional 140,000 Euros in new equipment, which would enable the creation of new jobs.
The Drvar facility of the Vranje-based Jumko company was officially opened on January 29, 2020. The Serbian Government allocated 500,000 Euros for the construction and equipping of the facility.
