RUNIĆ: FEAR AMONG SERB RETURNEES IN CRNI LUG BECAUSE OF ALLEGED EVACUATION LIST

BOSANSKO GRAHOVO, APRIL 11 /SRNA/ - Instilling fear and panic among Serb returnees in the area of the Crni Lug local community in the municipality of Bosansko Grahovo after, according to the locals, two people who introduced themselves as journalists from Sarajevo appeared in the villages with an alleged list for evacuation - cannot bring anything good, Drvar municipality head Dušica Runić told SRNA.

"Serb returnees returned to their homes with the intention of living in peace and growing old at their hearth. Instilling fear and panic with such hoaxes cannot bring anything good," said Runić.

She pointed out that the daily presence of EUFOR patrols causes additional concern among returnees.

"These patrols are uncontrollably and unhindered in the returnees' villages, and now their security is being further undermined by the threat of new evacuations and evictions from their age-old hearths," Runić said.

According to her, the question arises as to who made the disputed list and how Sarajevo journalists were given permission to instill fear and panic among the returnee population.

Serb returnees in the area of the Crni Lug local community in the municipality of Bosansko Grahovo have been living in fear for the third day after, as they say, two persons who introduced themselves as journalists from Sarajevo appeared in the villages with an alleged list for evacuation.

According to the locals, the unknown persons claimed that they were acting on the orders of "their superior", and they were carrying a list of names of alleged persons scheduled for evacuation.

This act caused panic among the returnees, who have already called the police twice, but, as they claim, they have not yet received information about who these persons are or who gave them the list.

The spokesperson of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Livno Canton, Slavko Krišto, confirmed for SRNA that the verification of allegations about this incident is ongoing.
