RADANOVIĆ: HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM NOVI SAD ATTACKED IN THE CENTER OF SARAJEVO

SARAJEVO, MARCH 29 /SRNA/ - The President of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Serbs in the Federation of BiH /FBiH/ Đorđe Radanović said that high school students from Novi Sad, including a girl, were attacked with baseball bats in Sarajevo.

Radanović emphasized that last night's attack with baseball bats in the center of Sarajevo on children from Novi Sad is nothing new, because the hatred towards Serbs in Sarajevo is the same today as it was in 1992, the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Serbs in FBiH stated.

"The incident happened when three young men and one girl from Novi Sad, staying on a student exchange, were attacked last night in the downtown core of Sarajevo. It is known that the attack was carried out out of national and religious hatred. Today's Bosniak children in Sarajevo, taught by their elders, grow up to hate the Serbian Orthodox," Radanović stressed.

Radanović states that the Board has no hope that the attackers will receive adequate punishments for this attack, considering that attacks on Serbs in Sarajevo have often happened before.

He recalled that a year ago in the center of Sarajevo, in a shopping center, a mother and her son were attacked, because he was wearing a Red Star jersey, when the attackers forced the child to take off his jersey and knocked the mother to the ground.

"For the New Year 2023, tires were punctured on four vehicles with license plates from Belgrade, Novi Sad and Užice. Earlier in Sarajevo, children from the Zvezdara football club who were at the tournament for pioneers were attacked," Radanović stated.
