BROĆETA: EVACUATION LIST WAKES EVIL SPIRITS OF THE PAST

BOSANSKO GRAHOVO, APRIL 11 /SRNA/ - Serb returnees in the villages of the municipality of Bosansko Grahovo were disturbed by the list for evacuation that appeared without explaining why and from whom, and the delegate in the House of Peoples of the Federation of BiH Goran Broćeta pointed out that this game awakens the ghosts of the past and that the authorities should investigate everything.

"I am asking the returnees to remain calm and not fall for provocations. The competent authorities must shed light on this case down to the smallest detail, and we will persevere in this," Broćeta stressed.

A list containing the names of the residents who are allegedly planned for the evacuation plan appeared in the Serb returnee villages of Crni Lug, Bastasi, Nuglašica, Grkovci and Peulje.

The situation was further complicated by the appearance of two unknown persons who introduced themselves as journalists and who were allegedly investigating the circumstances related to that document.

"Such games with the plight of Serb returnees, who have not been spared by any adversity, represent a kind of monstrous act - whether it is an individual or an organization, it remains to be determined by the competent institutions," Broćeta told SRNA.

He added that the thought of evacuation awakens the evil spirits of the past and brings back the tragic year of 1995, when the HVO burned houses and slaughtered in these same villages.

"Introducing restlessness and anxiety among returnees in the current political events is just adding fuel to the fire, which does no one any good," said Broćeta, who is also the president of the Club of Serbs in the Livno Canton Assembly.

He said that he would insist on a full investigation of the case and establishing the identity of the persons behind the creation and distribution of the list, as well as the persons posing as journalists.
