ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 10 /SRNA/ – SNSD President Milorad Dodik said this evening in Istočno Novo Sarajevo that in the upcoming elections, the Serb people will win, because they will not allow anyone else to choose their president.

Dodik emphasized that he was put on trial before the Court of BiH because the people had elected him, but that in the upcoming elections, the SNSD candidate Siniša Karan will again win and continue the path of progress for Republika Srpska.

Speaking at the central SNSD rally in Istočno Novo Sarajevo, Dodik underlined that Srpska will not change its political course, that there will be no talk of joining NATO, and that today the Republika is approached differently even on the global political stage.

The SNSD candidate for President of Republika Srpska in the upcoming early elections Siniša Karan said that the ideologies of the Bosniak political establishment, which believes that BiH belongs solely to Bosniaks, are still alive today.

"Well, it's not! The final blow was supposed to come through that unfortunate Christian Schmidt. He wasn't only trying to bring down our president and the institution - he was undermining the sovereign will of the voters. Only you, and no one else, decide your fate and who your president is. When you vote, you are not choosing a particular policy or a person - you are choosing the right to decide for yourselves," Karan told the gathered citizens.

He added that his candidacy does not represent a new government, because the people had already given their vote three years ago.

SNSD Vice President Željka Cvijanović said that Karan’s upcoming victory will also be a victory for Republika Srpska.

"In these elections, those who are the real enemies of Republika Srpska, of freedom, and of everything that Srpska stands for, must be defeated," Cvijanović concluded.
