SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 26 /SRNA/ – SNSD and SDS have filed complaints with the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH regarding the decision to annul the results of the early elections for president of Republika Srpska at 136 polling stations, the Commission told SRNA.
The CEC recalled that the deadline for submitting complaints expires tonight at midnight, and that complaints may be submitted by e-mail.
After the deadline for submitting complaints expires, the CEC of BiH will forward them to the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH, which will then have a three-day deadline to issue a decision.
SNSD is seeking the annulment of the decision to repeat voting at 136 polling stations, while SDS believes that the elections should be repeated at a larger number of polling stations.
On Wednesday, December 24, the CEC of BiH adopted a non-final decision annulling the snap elections for president of Republika Srpska at 136 polling stations in 17 electoral districts.
The snap elections were annulled at certain polling stations in Prijedor, Laktaši, Banja Luka, Doboj, Stanari, Lopare, Ugljevik, Osmaci, Vlasenica, Zvornik, Bratunac, Nevesinje, Gacko, Rudo, Bileća, Milići and Brčko.
