COOPERATION WITH NATIONAL LIBRARY OF BULGARIA AGREED UPON

TREBINJE, MARCH 26 /SRNA/ - A delegation of the National Library of Trebinje visited the Cyril and Methodius National Library in Sofia and agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation with one of the most significant cultural and educational institutions in Bulgaria.

During the visit and discussions with the management of the Cyril and Methodius National Library and leading experts, the guests from Republika Srpska were informed about the library's work and its various programs.

"It was an honor to visit such a significant cultural institution, exchange experiences, and present the work of the National Library of Trebinje in Sofia, especially to see the impressive collections of the Cyril and Methodius National Library," said Milosava Supić-Vuković, the director of the National Library of Trebinje.

She emphasized the importance of the reciprocal visit and the signing of the memorandum that were agreed upon.

The Cyril and Methodius National Library houses over two million documents, publications, and valuable and rare collections of ancient writings dating from the 9th to the 19th century.

Two years ago, this institution marked a significant milestone - 145 years of existence.

The Cyril and Methodius National Library also has a Serbian Corner, which will now be enriched with two monographs - one about the City of Trebinje and the other about Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske /Electrict Power Company of Republika Srpska/, says a press release from the National Library of Trebinje.

The visit was organized with the assistance of the Embassy of Serbia in Sofia, and Zoran Pešut, a representative of the Serbian community, as well as the support of Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske and the City of Trebinje.
