BANJA LUKA, JUNE 2 /SRNA/ - No one from the Republika Srpska opposition can justify the shameful fact that, instead of standing with their own people and showing responsibility toward them and Srpska, they chose to bow before the German "illegal" Christian Schmidt and others who, together with Bosniaks and through the so-called judiciary of BiH, are persecuting legitimate Serb representatives, Bogoljub Zeljković, a councilor of the Banjaluka City Assembly, told SRNA.
"The talks on so-called reason and a cooperative opposition is pitiful as they demonstrate that cooperativeness to internationals by betraying the interests of Republika Srpska and its people, as well as the graves of those who defended Srpska where nowadays they curry favour with internationals in pursuit of political positions. It’s shameful and sad, but true," Zeljković emphasized.
Even from a legal standpoint, he adds, they cannot be considered relevant stakeholders in any attempt to form a new government at the level of the state community of BiH, since they are electoral losers - those whom the people did not entrust with power.
"It's clear to everyone that the opposition from Srpska has, unfortunately, accepted the playbook of Bosniak politicians - tying their horse where the agha tells them. However, all of this is short-lived, because these attempts to seize power with the help of an illegal foreigner and the illegal body known as the Peace Implementation Council are doomed to fail. And failure already awaits them next year when elections are held. The Serb people do not tolerate traitors, and these traitors will be sent to the political junkyard," Zeljković said.
He has noted that all of this is happening ahead of the Appellate Panel session scheduled for June 12, which will issue a second-instance judgment in the trial against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik under Schmidt's imposed law.
"The organization of such a meeting format is also a way of testing public sentiment, because this is how an effort is being made to normalize and legitimize the idea that BiH officials can be selected by some informal body, outside the will of the voters, which further undermines the meaning of BiH and those who attend such meetings," Zeljković stated.
Announcements of meetings with Schmidt and PIC members, he adds, came after information surfaced about the upcoming Appellate Panel session, which confirms that the judiciary operates in close cooperation with the so-called international community.
"The plan for Schmidt to promote the Republika Srpska opposition as new leaders without any democratic legitimacy derived from the will of the people is being implemented through a media campaign that bombards the public with misinformation claiming that President Dodik is, once again, finished, and that these opposition figures are merely substitutes on the bench, waiting to jump in," concluded Zeljković.
