ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, MAY 13 /SRNA/ - SNSD member of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Miroslav Vujičić told SRNA that the UN Security Council session on BiH proved that the world's leading powers have realized it is time for official representatives of the peoples and entities to assume responsibility for the functioning of the country, and that only the current Bosniak political leadership, represented by Denis Bećirović, is not ready for that.

Vujičić said that the OHR is generally the greatest culprit for all crises in BiH and that he is pleased the world’s leading powers have realized the time has come for local politicians to take responsibility.

He assessed that BiH Presidency Chairman Denis Bećirović expressed a personal opinion at the Security Council session, ignoring the majority of Serb and Croat residents.

"It is incomprehensible that Presidency member, who should pursue a policy of peace, first with neighboiđuring countries, is accusing Serbia and Croatia of causing dysfunction in BiH. In our tradition, neighbours are respected first and agreements are reached with them," Vujičić said.

He added that he does not know how Bećirović intends to engage in politics by provoking political conflicts with Serbia, Republika Srpska and Croatia, while completely ignoring and remaining silent about the fact that the primary and greatest generator of the crisis in BiH has been Christian Schmidt.

Vujičić stressed that he does not know what Bećirović’s intentions are or whether he wants to improve his political standing ahead of the upcoming elections, but said that Bećirović has repeatedly sent messages that Serbs and Croats are not welcome in BiH.

"He forgets that BiH consists of two entities and three constituent peoples. With politicians like Bećirović and with such appearances before the Security Council, it is impossible to achieve any kind of political agreement in BiH," Vujičić emphasized.

Vujičić stressed that Bećirović is mistaken if he believes that BiH is a country of Bosniaks, and that it is obvious he does not want a political agreement among the legal and legitimate representatives of the three constituent peoples and two entities.

"It is obvious that the current official Bosniak policy, represented by Bećirović, is not prepared to assume responsibility for governing BiH, is not prepared for any kind of compromise, therefore it used the OHR as a shield and called for international interventionism," Vujičić said.

Vujičić added that this era has passed and that Republika Srpska fully understands that the major powers have realized that, after 30 years, BiH must function exclusively on the basis of agreement among the three constituent peoples and the two entities.
