VERDICTS BASED ON "VIOLATION OF HIGH REPRESENTATIVE'S DECISIONS" POLITICIZED

SARAJEVO, AUGUST 1 /SRNA/ – The Embassy of the Russian Federation in BiH stated that any verdicts based on claims of allegedly violating "High Representative's decisions" are not legal, but entirely politicized.

Regarding the verdict by the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH concerning the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, the Embassy told SRNA that, from a legal standpoint, there is no High Representative in BiH and that Christian Schmidt is essentially an usurper.

"All responsibility for any potential destabilisation of the internal political situation in the country lies with the promoters of this political action," the Russian Embassy assessed.

The Appellate Division of the Court of BiH confirmed the first-instance verdict against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, sentencing him to one year in prison and a six-year ban from political activity for "disrespecting the decisions of Christian Schmidt".
