STEVANDIĆ: CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF BiH HUMILIATES PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY

BANJA LUKA, JULY 3 /SRNA/ - The Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić, told SRNA that, with its ruling today, the Constitutional Court of BiH had humiliated the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, stripped it of its legislative function, and "appointed Christian Schmidt as the legislator."

"This is the first time in the history of any country that its Constitutional Court has accepted a foreigner as a legislator while stripping its own parliament of its legislative authority," Stevandić said.

He said this shows "the kind of hell and chaos" that foreign governance has brought BiH into.

"In the end, BiH has no future precisely because of foreign governance and the experiments being conducted on its people and institutions," Stevandić said.

The truncated Constitutional Court of BiH has ruled that Christian Schmidt's amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH are "in accordance with the Constitution of BiH and the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms."
