SRPSKA SUCCESSFULLY RESISTS ALL PRESSURES

TREBINJE, JUNE 12 /SRNA/ – British political analyst John Laughland told SRNA that BiH is, in theory, a sovereign country, but in reality, it lacks sovereignty, emphasizing that Republika Srpska is currently successfully resisting all pressures.

"I’ve heard that law enforcement agencies at the BiH level attempted to arrest /President of Republika Srpska Milorad/ Dodik and failed to do so. These legal conflicts—whether internal or international—are resolved by force," Laughland stated.

Laughland said that law ultimately results in force and is often an instrument of force.

He recalled the quote by Vladimir Ilyich Lenin that law is an instrument of power.

Laughland pointed out that BiH, in reality, lacks sovereignty partly due to the presence of an international administrator who has been in place since 1995.

"After the Berlin Congress, you had, under international law, a sovereign BiH, but on the other hand, it still does not have full sovereignty today," Laughland said.

He also noted that following the Berlin Congress, BiH remained under the Ottoman Empire in name, but Austro-Hungary effectively held authority over it.

In his opinion, what was attempted at the Berlin Congress was the withdrawal of politics from the scene and the introduction of law.

"And that is the rule of law in today’s world," Laughland emphasized.
