BIJELJINA, JUNE 5 /SRNA/ - The Alliance of Independent Social Democrats /SNSD/ has no reason whatsoever to engage in talks with the German tourist Christian Schmidt, who is unlawfully residing in BiH, making his claim that there is 'no basis for any dialogue with the SNSD' utterly ridiculous, said Bojan Savić, the president of the SNSD City Board in Bijeljina.
“As the largest and strongest political party, we have no grounds for any dialogue with Schmidt, because he is simply a tourist without any legal status in BiH. The statements of that individual carry no weight, except to confuse and distract the public, a task in which the opposition from Republika Srpska willingly participates with him,” Savić told SRNA.
He emphasized that opposition representatives from Republika Srpska have become the main stars of the Sarajevo political scene over the past two days, people who, according to their colleagues and partners, are now "speaking with one voice" about "BiH as a state" and the transfer of jurisdictions for the sake of the European path.
"The true purpose of the meeting between the fabricated quasi-institution, the PIC, and the illegitimate /High Representative/ Schmidt with the Serb and Bosniak ‘troikas’ has now been fully exposed: the aim is to push for a transfer of jurisdictions from the entities to the BiH level, under the guise of the European agenda. Some participants of that meeting have even admitted this, stressing that the opposition from Republika Srpska agreed to it," Savić said.
"But their hopes are in vain. Nothing will come of it. BiH is not a state, but rather a state union of two equal entities and three constituent peoples, and the SNSD, together with its coalition partners, will never agree to anything that would diminish the autonomy of Republika Srpska, even at the cost of the European path," Savić said.
As in all normal countries, Savić emphasized, in Republika Srpska it is the election winners who represent their people and their Republic, and who make decisions on their behalf, not the election losers, who would sacrifice both Srpska, their people, and the graves of those who laid down their lives in the foundation of the Republic, all for a few political seats.
