SARAJEVO'S SHAMEFUL SILENCE ON VIOLENCE TOWARD NOVI SAD HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

EAST SARAJEVO, MARCH 29 /SRNA/ - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Staša Košarac, has stressed that he expects an immediate response from the competent authorities and an adequate punishment for the attackers of high school students from Novi Sad in Sarajevo, and added that Sarajevo's silence on such violence is shameful.

Košarac pointed out that, unfortunately, it is not the first time that Serbian children have been the target of attacks and violence in Sarajevo, which has become a dangerous environment for Serbs.

"Brutal attacks are the result of terrifying Serbophobia and continuous hatred towards everything Serbian," Košarac added.

He emphasized that he strongly condemns the act of vandalism in Sarajevo in which high school students from Novi Sad were brutally attacked.

"We expect an immediate reaction from the competent authorities and an adequate punishment for the perpetrators. Sarajevo's silence on this kind of act of violence is shameful!", Košarac posted on the "X" social network.

President of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Serbs in the Federation of BiH, Đorđe Radanović, said that high school students from Novi Sad, including a girl, were attacked with baseball bats in Sarajevo last night.
