REPUBLIKA SRPSKA PRESIDENT’S GREAT VICTORY

EAST SARAJEVO, JULY 5 /SRNA/ – SNSD representative in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Milorad Kojić, told SRNA that the BiH Court’s decision is a great and wise Republika Srpska President, Milorad Dodik’s victory, very important for preserving Srpska, the Dayton-based BiH, and the rule of law.

Kojić emphasized that certain power centres had been constantly trying to pressure and intimidate the top leadership of Republika Srpska with threats of imprisonment.

“The ruling the Court of BiH delivered yesterday was, from a formal-legal standpoint, the only correct and possible decision,” said Kojić, who is also a lawyer.

According to him, everything that happened in the previous period was official Sarajevo’s way to use the judiciary to fight political opponents within BiH.

“The process being conducted against President Dodik is precisely aimed at that,” Kojić stressed.

He noted that President Dodik confirmed yesterday that respecting the law is paramount and showed those responsible for enforcing it how it should be done.

The Court of BiH yesterday issued a ruling accepting the BiH Prosecutor’s Office’s proposal to revoke the detention measure for Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, thereby canceling the arrest warrant previously issued against him.

Detention was lifted after it was determined that the reasons for its earlier imposition no longer existed.

Earlier, the Court of BiH had imposed a one-month detention on Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik based on reasonable suspicion that he had committed the criminal offense of “attack on the constitutional order.”
