POSITIVE CHANGES IN AMERICA OBVIOUS TO EVERYONE - EXCEPT BEĆIROVIĆ AND KONAKOVIĆ

EAST SARAJEVO, MAY 26 /SRNA/ - Serb Member and Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović says that Bosniak BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović and Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković are deceiving both themselves and the Sarajevo public by claiming that nothing has changed in the U.S.A, even though positive shifts are clearly visible to everyone.

Cvijanović says Bećirović and Konaković are resorting to pathetic and false claims, alleging that meetings were supposedly paid for and that American officials she met with are corrupt, which are scandalous.

“What we are hearing from the two of them is a typical display of frustration, because the manipulation they've used for years has found no fertile ground with the representatives of the new administration,” Cvijanović emphasized.

Responding to Bećirović’s assertions that Serbia and Republika Srpska supposedly spend tens or hundreds of millions of dollars on meetings with influential figures in Washington, Cvijanović says such shameful claims damage the reputation of the country he claims to represent, all for petty personal political gain and as a way of venting personal frustration, reads a statement from her office.

“I call on him to publicly state which meeting was paid for and how much, or else I will ask my American counterparts - senators, congressmen, or senior State Department officials - and send him their response,” Cvijanović said.

She reiterated that such accusations are dangerous insinuations that will ultimately backfire on Bećirović and his “false politics.”
