MUJAHIDEEN IN BiH AS EARLY AS FEBRUARY 1992

SARAJEVO, APRIL 5 /SRNA/ - The first Mujahideen, "holy warriors" or "Islamic volunteers" came to BiH as soon as February 1992, before the civil war, to help "endangered Muslim brothers and sisters" in the fight for Islam as a social order, said the counter-terrorism expert Dževad Galijašević.

Galijašević told SRNA that that these were Islamic fundamentalists, professional warriors and mercenaries, but also jihad fighters who came to BiH from different countries.

"Among the first to arrive were the Iranian mujahideen, followed by mujahideen from Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Jordan, Yemen, Afghanistan, Qatar, and those from Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia had the most military experience and knowledge. Hezbollah members were engaged, even before the official declaration of martial law in BiH, in the Pogorelica camp near Fojnica to train Muslim soldiers, police officers, and intelligence officers, future members of the so-called Army of BiH," Galijašević stated.

MUJAHIDEEN IN FEBRUARY 1992 VIA ZAGREB AND SPLIT TO SARAJEVO AND CITIZENSHIP OF UNRECOGNIZED BiH

How willingly they were welcomed by the criminal policy of Alija Izetbegović is confirmed by the very interesting fact that 104 mujahideen received "BiH citizenship," passports and ID cards, not only without legal procedure and before the start of the civil war, but also before any country, the then European Community or the USA, recognized BiH!?

This data is one in a series of those that confirm how much and since when Muslims have been preparing for war in BiH. The "holy warriors" even had well-organized transport from Islamic countries to BiH, many of whom did not even know where or what BiH was.

They arrived in Zagreb, then in Split, and from there they were transported in humanitarian convoys to collection centers in Travnik and Zenica.

"One of them, Abu Hamza, testified that at the invitation of Reis Mustafa Cerić, they came to BiH to defend the `Muslim brothers` and that for him, `Alija Izetbegović is the commander and leader of all the mujahideen,`" Galijašević told SRNA.

While the Serbs could not even imagine that war could break out in BiH, the Muslims, led by Alija Izetbegović, were heavily preparing for war with the aim of creating an Islamic state in the heart of Europe.

Galijašević pointed out that, "apart from being an important moral and military support for the Army of BiH," the conflict in BiH was an extraordinary opportunity for the mujahideen to penetrate Europe.

AL-FATIH ALI HASSANEIN: BOSNIA MUST BE MUSLIM!?

"The largest number of mujahideen came with the motive that BiH should become an Islamic state. The meaning of their struggle was succinctly expressed by the radical Islamist from Sudan, Al-Fatih Ali Hassanein: `Bosnia must ultimately be Muslim, because if that does not happen, the entire war is meaningless and would be fought for nothing,`" Galijašević emphasized.

This sentence, although short, shows the essence of Muslim politics, both yesterday, today and tomorrow - their only goal is a Muslim BiH in which only Muslims, or, since the war, Bosniaks, are concerned. What will happen and what will be their name in 10 years, we will see...

Galijašević said that Hassanein was the founder and director of the Third World Relief Agency /TWRA/, that was established in 1987 in Vienna as "a humanitarian organization for Muslims," through which, since 1992, the procurement of weapons for Izetbegović's "Army of BiH" was financed and organized.

"Hassanein, by the way, was also in charge of collecting financial resources that served to enrich several families and prominent individuals loyal to the top authorities and Alija, primarily Izetbegović, Čengić, Silajdžić, Ganić, Mahmutćehajić, Šabić, and Alispahić family. From the resources controlled by the TWRA, a special military-intelligence organization was developed, founded in Vienna under the name BIC - Bosnian Information Center," Galijašević pointed out for SRNA.

Sudanese Hassanein also said that "the war in BiH helped awaken Islam among secular Muslims" and he advocated the introduction of appropriate methods for spreading "the correct teachings of Islam among Muslims in BiH".

According to Galijašević, in just one month in 1992, $20 million was deposited into TWRA's account at Erste Bank, and in October of the same year, a Saudi Arabian government official came to the bank's headquarters in central Vienna with two suitcases of cash and deposited $5 million into TWRA's account.

"From 1992 to 1995, most of the donations came from Saudi Arabia, Iran, Sudan, Turkey, Brunei, Malaysia and Pakistan. By year: 1992 - $80 million, 1993 - $231 million, 1994/95 - $39 million, 1996 - $500,000. The inflow of money decreased in 1994 and 1995 because at that time, with the knowledge of the United States, a channel was opened through Croatia for the supply of weapons, mainly Iranian, to the Army of BiH.

The first major operation carried out by the TWRA was the delivery of a large quantity of weapons and ammunition /about 120 tons of rifles, mortars, mines and ammunition from the remaining stocks of the former East Germany/ to the airport in Maribor /Slovenia/, in September 1992. The cargo was declared as `humanitarian aid`. Some of the weapons were transported to Tuzla and Zenica by rented transport helicopters that were refueled in Split," Galijašević said.

And while Alija Izetbegović and his political followers were resurrecting Islamism in BiH and bringing the mujahideen to fight in the "path of Allah," which entails the destruction of Christians, Hassanein was providing money to enrich those who sacrificed peace for Muslim Bosnia and to equip paramilitary formations. /to be continued/
