KOVAČEVIĆ: THE GOAL OF BOSNIAK POLITICAL STRUCTURES IS TO OVERVOTE CROATS IN ELECTIONS AND SERBS IN INSTITUTIONS

SARAJEVO, MAY 14 /SRNA/ - Serb delegate in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Radovan Kovačević stated that the aim of Bosniak political structures is to overvote Croats in elections and then Serbs in institutions, so they could be the only decision-makers in BiH.

"Now we have a situation in the BiH Presidency where two, as it is often said, Bosniak members overvoted the Serb member Željka Cvijanović. It is obviously a political principle, i.e. the platform of political Sarajevo to overvote Croats in elections, so that they could have two members in the Presidency, and then to overvote Serbs and Republika Srpska and then they will be the only ones who make decisions," Kovačević pointed out.

He said that in these circumstances, there are no Croats nor Serbs, and those are terrible things that are completely opposite to the BiH Constitution.

However, he added, the Constitution has determined that Republika Srpska has the possibility to say NO and to veto.

Kovačević asked if there are Serbs who are not ready to vote in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska against overvoting in the Presidency and to put interests of the Bosniaks above the interests and will of the Serbs.

"If there are any, let them be," said Kovačević.

He stated that the world is currently split to the Federation of BiH /FBiH/ and the rest of the world.

"Why are those from the FBiH trying to behave in such a way that everything possible is needed to harm the Serbs and Republika Srpska? This is something that is definitely a problem and we see it as a problem," Kovačević emphasized and reiterated that there is no solution beyond dialogue in BiH.

Kovačević stated that Srpska wants to solve all problems at the negotiating table and to say: "People, are you aware that you rattle your guns, that you say in television shows that you should shoot at the police, that you should shoot at Serbs and citizens of Srpska regardless of religion and nation!?"

"We want to resolve that at the negotiating table as well. We didn't say we were going to shoot at them and we are not in favor of our police shooting at anyone. We don't wish anyone any harm. We wish all the people in the FBiH the absolute best, that they live better and safer. That's what we strive for and fight for," said Kovačević.

Regarding the shameful verdict and warrant issued by the unconstitutional Court BiH for the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, Kovačević said that during that time, President Dodik was in Russia twice, that he met twice with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and once each with Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

He recalled that Interpol refused to issue an international warrant on the basis of that warrant from the Court of BiH, because it was clear that it was a matter of political persecution, and later rejected the appeal of the same court.
