KOVAČEVIĆ SENDS MESSAGE TO SERB PEOPLE: HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH AND BE PROUD OF SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 8 /SRNA/ – The Serb people should hold their heads high and be proud of Republika Srpska, Serb deputy in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Radovan Kovačević said.

"When we talk about all this hysteria and the reactions coming from Sarajevo, it is very important not to forget that convicted war criminal Rasim Delić was buried with full military honours, that the then Bosniak BiH Presidency member spoke at the funeral - at the time, I believe, it was Haris Silajdžić, that the religious ceremony was led by the then head of the Islamic Community," Kovačević said.

He stressed that it is very interesting that Sarajevo is not concerned about the whereabouts of Sakib Mahmuljin.

"They are not concerned at all about Atif Dudaković, for whom there are recordings in which he openly says, `Kill the Serbs, kill them all.` They have no problem with the fact that his trial has been going on for decades and that he has now been medically unable to attend the trial for years," Kovačević said.

Kovačević stated they would like to humiliate the Serbs to such an extent that they could do whatever they wanted to them, which is why they behave in this manner.

"On behalf of Republika Srpska, I tell them they can forget about that. We can freely say, on behalf of Serbia and on behalf of the entire Serb people: forget about it. Serbs are a proud people. Telling us that justice was written in The Hague - shame on you!" Kovačević said emphatically.

He said that around 35,000 Serbs were killed in the civil war in BiH, while around 100,000 people were killed in the war overall.

"So, 35,000 out of 100,000 corresponds to the proportion of the Serb population in the total population of BiH. Therefore, Serb victims account for 35 percent. Do you know how many verdicts have been handed down for crimes against Serbs? Two percent. And someone wants to call that justice. Forget these absurdities, this nonsense," Kovačević said.

He called on the Serb people to be proud of their struggle to defend Republika Srpska, which was created before the war.

"Be proud of your political leadership as well, which will never allow Republika Srpska, the Serb people and all residents of Republika Srpska to be humiliated," Kovačević told RTRS.
