KOVAČEVIĆ: IN THE BOSNIAK CONCEPT OF BiH, THERE IS NO VOICE FOR SERBS AND CROATS

SARAJEVO, MAY 13 /SRNA/ – Serb delegate in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Radovan Kovačević, stated that the outvoting of the Serb member of the Presidency shows that the Bosniak concept of BiH is one in which Croats are outvoted in the Presidency, then Serbs, and in the end, only the Bosniak voice is heard in BiH, while the voices of Serbs and Croats, who are constitutionally equal in BiH, are completely silenced.

"I’ve spoken about this before. It is deeply unfortunate, and it confirms that all our concerns are justified and that our political actions—both those of us from Republika Srpska and those of the Croat representatives—must be clearly articulated and decisive," Kovačević said.

He emphasized that the National Assembly of Republika Srpska will decide whether there is support for a BiH in which only the Bosniak voice is heard, along with the voices of those Serbs and Croats who are willing to submit to the will of the Bosniaks.

"Opposition representatives will show tomorrow whether they want BiH to be a country of three equal constituent peoples—a country where the voice of the Serb people and of Republika Srpska is heard—or whether they are the ones who want to submit to the will of the Bosniaks, to become their subordinates, apprentices, and executors of political favors, or if they are ready to defend the interests of the Serb people," Kovačević said.

He noted that all MPs from Bosniak political parties signed in support of Nebojša Vukanović becoming a minister in the name of the Serbs, in the name of Republika Srpska, but reminded that Vukanović is the leader of a political party that received only 1.5 percent of votes in the last election—halfway to the electoral threshold.

"On the other hand, you have PDP, the party of Draško Stanivuković, which barely passed the five percent mark at the RS level, and then you have SNSD, which won 65 percent," Kovačević added.
