BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 14 /SRNA/ – All those who object to the cooperation between SNSD and HDZ BiH, especially those in Sarajevo, are, in fact, disturbed by the very existence of Serbs and Croats in BiH, and by the fact that Serbs and Croats have any rights at all, said Radovan Kovačević, Serb delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
Kovačević, also the SNSD spokesperson, emphasized that it is perfectly clear that in the Federation of BiH they have worked hard to deprive Croats of all rights and to ensure that they cannot elect their own representatives.
"This has been part of their long-term strategy, first to strip Croats of their rights, and then to move on to final dealing with Republika Srpska and the Serb people," Kovačević stated for RTRS.
He said that their goal is to eliminate Republika Srpska, Serbs, and Croats, and to turn BiH into a country where there is room only for them.
However, Kovačević stressed, the cooperation between SNSD and HDZ exists precisely to oppose such concepts, because, as he stated, those concepts are impossible.
He added that they are not working against anyone in BiH and have never based their cooperation on anything that would go against Bosniaks.
"We are not asking for anything for Serbs or for Republika Srpska. HDZ is not asking for anything for Croats that we do not believe should also belong to Bosniaks. The Constitution of this country states that BiH is a community of two equal entities and three constituent peoples with equal rights. We are simply fighting to ensure that those two entities remain equal and that they retain their constitutionally guaranteed rights and jurisdictions," Kovačević stressed.
He noted that this is the essential political struggle they are engaged in, one they will not abandon, no matter the threats, sanctions, or shameful political and judicial processes brought against them.
"We will continue to fight for what are our constitutionally guaranteed rights — the rights of Republika Srpska and the Serb constituent people," Kovačević emphasized.
He expressed confidence that representatives of HDZ will do the same.
"That's all that needs to be said on this issue," Kovačević concluded.
