KOŠARAC: GENTLEMEN, GET SERIOUS AND STOP “BEATING A DEAD HORSE”

SARAJEVO, December 21 /SRNA/ – Council of Ministers Deputy Chair Staša Košarac stresses that a number of FBiH politicians holding important positions at the BiH level, are trying, through hysterical attacks on Republika Srpska officials, to conceal their own lack of work, which is what they are doing in the Trgovska Gora case, telling them to stop “beating a dead horse.”

Responding to Saša Magazinović, Chair of the SDP BiH caucus in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Košarac said that one of the first initiatives of Milorad Dodik, as the then Serb member of the BiH Presidency, was the adoption of a set of conclusions by the BiH Presidency on the basis of which the competent institutions are obliged to act in the case of Trgovska Gora.

He stressed that those conclusions served as the foundation for all further actions.

“I keep insisting that the issue of constructing the disputed disposal site at Trgovska Gora must not be subject to politicization and cheap domestic populism,” Košarac told SRNA.

Unfortunately, he adds, a number of politicians from the Federation of BiH who hold important positions at the level of BiH institutions are trying, through tendentious and hysterical attacks on Republika Srpska officials, to cover up their own inactivity, instead of taking concrete steps and contributing to the fight to protect the health of 250,000 people and the environment.

“Yesterday Konaković, today Magazinović, and so on in a circle… Their politicking and attempts to collect a few political points in a crude and banal way from their ever-shrinking electorate are unacceptable,” Košarac said.

He asked what Magazinović’s party colleague, the current Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović, has done regarding Trgovska Gora.

“How do we measure his contribution to resolving this problem? Bećirović has done nothing. What is even more absurd, Bećirović’s non-existent contribution is greater than that of Magazinović’s coalition partner Konaković. Bećirović does nothing, unlike Konaković, who is sabotaging our fight by covering up protest notes at the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” Košarac said.

He emphasized that it is high time they get serious and stop “beating a dead horse and making false accusations against Milorad Dodik and Republika Srpska.”

“If you do not wish to make a constructive contribution to the fight against the construction of the disposal site on Trgovska Gora, then at least remain silent and stop poisoning the public with deception and manipulation,” Košarac said.
