BAKU, APRIL 4 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers, Staša Košarac, at today's meeting in Baku with the EBRD's director for energy, Grzegorz Zielinski, clearly pointed out the fact that the EBRD has a unilateral approach in BiH in a way that favors the financing of projects in FBiH.
"This is confirmed by the statistics that says that 23 projects were financed in the FBiH. This practice is completely unacceptable," Košarac emphasized.
He pointed out that Srpska leads a responsible energy policy, which was also verified by the Energy Community. "Unfortunately, we are witnessing that certain European financial institutions, as a rule, condition Srpska politically when it comes to the realization of some projects," Košarac posted on "Instagram".
Košarac said that Srpska does not agree to such conditions, because the President of the Republic Milorad Dodik and the institutions of Srpska lead a sovereign policy.
"For us, such blackmails are unacceptable and inadmissible. Srpska is open to cooperation and investments, but will never accept blackmail. Srpska has other models, which is confirmed by the engagement of other investors and financial institutions.
We really have no problem with the EBRD financing projects in FBiH, but we will never allow anyone to blackmail Srpska politically! Such unacceptable practices additionally motivate us to look for new models and financial partners every day, because it is absolutely visible that the EU is in more and more trouble day by day," Košarac said.
The meeting with the EBRD director for energy was held on the sidelines of the 11th ministerial meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council and the Third Ministerial Meeting of the Green Energy Advisory Council in Baku.
