KONAKOVIĆ MISLEADS PUBLIC WITH FALSE CLAIMS ABOUT MALIGNANT RUSSIAN INFLUENCE

SARAJEVO, JUNE 25 /SRNA/ – Deputy Chair of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac told SRNA that Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković is once again misleading the public with blatant falsehoods and unfounded claims about alleged malignant Russian influence, calling him pathetic.

"His voice can’t even be heard as far as the Eternal Flame in Sarajevo. Diplomats respond to his diplomatic wandering and ignorance of global political dynamics with silence. Whenever he speaks abroad, people just exchange confused glances due to the absurdities he spouts. The truth is that Russia always responds to an invitation from President /Milorad/ Dodik and Republika Srpska, and the Federation of BiH always benefits from those contacts," Košarac said, reacting to Konaković’s claim that "Dodik blocks everything at the call of the Russian red phone."

Košarac added that Konaković is well aware of this and that it had been clearly explained to him using examples such as approved exports of meat, milk, fruit, and vegetables to the Russian market.

"Dino knows it, too. We explained it using the example of Russian gas, which heats Sarajevo at the most favorable prices, thanks to the agreement between President Dodik and /Russian President Vladimir/ Putin. Yes, our Russian friends always respond and provide assistance—for the benefit of all citizens of Republika Srpska, the Federation of BiH, and the Brčko District," Košarac stated.

Košarac added that it is not President of the Republic's fault that Dino doesn’t have friends who answer his phone calls.
