BANJA LUKA, JULY 21 /SRNA/ - The Chairman of the Governing Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority /ITA/ of BiH, Srđan Amidžić, stated that the kilometer-long queues at border crossings are a consequence of political blockades.
"Kilometer-long queues at border crossings are not a coincidence. These are scenes we have been watching for months. And they are not the consequence of a larger number of travelers, but of political blockades," Amidžić posted on the social network X.
Amidžić pointed out that the ITA Rulebook on Systematization has still not been adopted today, which, among other things, is necessary for the consistent implementation of the international agreement with the Republic of Croatia.
"A new systematization and categorization at nine border crossings would mean faster traffic flow and significantly smaller traffic jams," emphasized Amidžić.
According to him, behind every delay at the border are real people, families whose vacations begin in a queue, children spending hours in cars, and businesspeople who lose time and money every day.
"A solution exists. The only thing missing is political responsibility!" Amidžić stated.
