ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 24 /SRNA/ – SNSD Member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Milorad Kojić, has stated for SRNA today that the election of Siniša Karan as the President of Republika Srpska represents a strong no to the so-called High Representative Christian Schmidt, Bosniaks, and the unconstitutional BiH Court.
"We had early elections for the President of Republika Srpska, which the SNSD did not want. It was a collusion of Schmidt, the judiciary, Bosniaks, together with the opposition in Republika Srpska, who tried in this way to seize power in Srpska," Kojić said.
He emphasized that the people of Republika Srpska clearly indicated that responsible national policy by the SNSD and the preservation of the constitutional-legal order of Republika Srpska should continue.
"This was a very clear endorsement of both Milorad Dodik and Siniša Karan, who was elected President of Republika Srpska. Thanks to the citizens who recognize national policy and support what SNSD does. We always listen to what the people say , that Republika Srpska must preserve its constitutional-legal position, not allow the transfer of competencies to the BiH level, and maintain the integrity of Republika Srpska," Kojić stated.
Reacting to the move by Darko Babalj of SDS, who called on his party colleagues, including their presidential candidate Branko Blanuša, to take to the streets of Banja Luka to protest alleged electoral fraud, Kojić said this is a familiar tactic SDS tries to push.
"Accept that you were defeated, that SNSD is the winning party defending the interests of Republika Srpska, and that the people recognized our winning policy in these elections and gave their support to the winner, Siniša Karan," Kojić said.
According to preliminary, unofficial, and incomplete results of the Central Election Commission of BiH published this morning, SNSD candidate Siniša Karan won 217,324 votes, or 50.30 percent, in the early presidential elections for Republika Srpska.
