GOGANOVIĆ: HELEZ IS BOTHERED BY REPUBLIKA SRPSKA BECAUSE IT IS PERMANENT AND HE IS POLITICALLY TRANSIENT

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, JANUARY 9 /SRNA/ - Deputy Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers, Aleksandar Goganović, told SRNA that attacks by Minister Zukan Helez are a continuation of irresponsible and inflammatory rhetoric coming from Sarajevo, and that dreams of abolishing Republika Srpska are political illusions.

Goganović emphasized that Republika Srpska is a permanent and constitutional category, guaranteed by the Dayton Peace Agreement, whose guarantors are the world’s major powers - the United States, the Russian Federation, and the most powerful European states.

“Helez and his ilk are transient politicians, but Republika Srpska remains a permanent and eternal category. We owe that to our finest Serbian sons who built the foundations of Republika Srpska with their lives,” Goganović said.

Reacting to Helez’s view that the time has come to begin a serious debate on abolishing the entities in BiH, Goganović warned that challenging Republika Srpska constitutes a direct attack on the Dayton Agreement and peace in BiH.
