GOGANOVIĆ AND CHINESE AMBASSADOR CONFIRM FRIENDSHIP AND READINESS TO BOOST COOPERATION

SARAJEVO, JUNE 17 /SRNA/ - Deputy Defense Minister in the Council of Ministers Aleksandar Goganović met today with the Ambassador of China to BiH Li Fan and the military attaché, Brigadier Sun Yinlong, to discuss the strengthening of cooperation in defense and issues of international security and stability.

Goganović told SRNA after the meeting that China is a reliable and sincere friend, not only to BiH as a whole, but particularly to the Serbian people, and emphasized that Republika Srpska holds deep respect for the Chinese people and state.

Goganović said that during the meeting, he pointed out the fact that Republika Srpska and the People's Republic of China have had traditionally good and stable relations for many years, which continue to develop in a spirit of mutual respect and trust.

He particularly emphasized that Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik enjoys a high level of personal respect and recognition from the Chinese state leadership, which further confirms the sincere friendship China shows toward the Serbian people.

"During the meeting, the current global security situation was also discussed, with agreement that peace and stability are the most important priorities in today’s geopolitical climate. In this context, we jointly emphasized our commitment to preserving international peace and understanding," Goganović said.

Chinese Ambassador to BiH Li Fan thanked Deputy Minister Goganović for the warm welcome and hospitality, stressing that the People's Republic of China will remain a dedicated partner in developing relations with BiH and all of its peoples.
