BELGRADE, MARCH 22 /SRNA/ - Lawyer Vladan Glišić tells SRNA that Christian Schmidt is constantly causing crises in BiH with his reckless moves stressing that one must not intervene in relation to what is the democratic will of the people, as it is against all the principles, which the EU officially rests on.

Pointing out that Schmidt is trampling the will of the people of Republika Srpska, the Dayton Peace Agreement and basic democratic values and principles with his decisions, Glišić has assessed there is no doubt the man who came to BiH as a tourist without being confirmed that he is a high representative is a generator of chaos in BiH.

"Schmidt is behaving completely inappropriately for Europe and for the 21st century, where one must respect the democratic institutions of a people and the institutions in general of the country he came to," said Glišić, who is also the founder of the National Network.

He believes that Schmidt's behaviour is reminiscent of the actions of colonial administrators in India.

"It is simply unbelievable that at this moment, when these things should have been overcome and when no capital in the West can refer to the colonial and imperial order, this man is allowed to behave like that," said Glišić.

According to him, Schmidt constantly causes crises because he believes that he is above the Dayton Peace Agreement, which stopped the war in BiH, which the constitutional and legal order of Republika Srpska derives from, which must be respected.

"It is simply incredible that, so to speak, the dead hand of an old order, which brought Schmidt, is now trying to prevent the possibility of Republika Srpska to be an entity in full capacity in accordance with the Dayton Peace Agreement and the constitutional order of Republika Srpska, which is based on that agreement," Glišić pointed out.

He says it is impossible not to see the correlation of the situation in BiH with what is happening in Romania, where the man whom the people want to vote for president, Calin Djordescu, is prevented from being a representative of the people.

"Basic democratic values are being trampled in Romania. The same thing is happening in Republika Srpska and BiH, where they are persecuting the man who was elected as the representative of the people / President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik/", Glišić pointed out.

He emphasizes that one must not intervene in relation to what is the democratic will of the people, because it is against all the principles, which the EU officially rests on, as well as the Western order and the countries that now support Schmidt militarily, politically and in every way.

"We hope that they will not want to implement those crazy decisions of his, and when we look at all that, we cannot believe that this kind of brutality is applied to our people," Glišić said.

He has pointed out that, apart from that, also the reckless trampling of all institutions is in progress, based on what is recognized by international law and which are the heritage of this civilization.

Glišić reminds that we are talking about achievements that, since the French Revolution, start from the fact that the people are sovereign, that elections are the place where the representatives who will govern that people are chosen and that the elected assemblies decide on legal and all other solutions.

"Schmidt is trampling on all of this, which he has been supported for by those countries that acted being democratic until recently, which we felt firsthand that they are not, because they treat us like colonial administrators," Glišić pointed out.
