BANJA LUKA, APRIL 16 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik pointed out regarding the FBiH Government's decision to initiate talks on a free trade agreement with the USA, that he is glad that they understood that there are ideas not depending on who is telling them, but on whether they are useful for people.
"When we from Republika Srpska proposed the abolition of customs duties on USA goods - a barrage of accusations arrived from Sarajevo: populism, politics, Dodik wants to pretend to be America... Today, the FBiH Government is asking for the same thing. The same text. The same proposal," said Dodik.
Dodik has emphasized that he is glad that they realized there are ideas that do not depend on who is telling them, but on whether they are useful for people.
"We in Republika Srpska pursue a policy that brings results, not a policy of spite.
It's good to at least occasionally agree on something that benefits everyone. It can be seen that Sarajevo is starting to like the air unpolluted by Michael Murphy. America, connecting people," Dodik posted on X social network.
The Government of FBiH accepted today the initiative to initiate talks on signing a free trade agreement with the United States.
The initiative asks the chairman of the Council of Ministers, Borjana Krišto, to initiate activities related to the possible signing a free trade agreement with the USA, while respecting the Stabilization and Association Agreement and other documents that regulate BiH's rights and obligations towards the EU.
