EVERYTHING DONE FOR BiH'S EUROPEAN PATH WAS DONE BY DODIK AND ČOVIĆ

EAST SARAJEVO, May 2 /SRNA/ – Personnel from SNSD and HDZ are the ones achieving concrete results on BiH’s path toward the EU, while Minister of Communications and Transport in the Council of Ministers, Edin Forto, has not proposed a single law that would bring BiH closer to the Union, said Sanja Vulić, head of the SNSD caucus in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.

"Milorad Dodik and Dragan Čović are leaders of dialogue, agreement, and the European future of BiH – but not a European future by the recipe of the Sarajevo čaršija, which means a civic, read: Islamic BiH," Vulić told SRNA in response to what she described as Forto's false and malicious statements to the federal media.

Vulić stated that SNSD consistently insists on respecting the Dayton Agreement and preserving peace.

"Milorad Dodik is a leader who consistently shows political strength, compromise when needed, determination when necessary, and deep respect for human and national values," Vulić said.

She emphasized that Forto's open alignment with the opposition from Republika Srpska is not a sign of democracy, but an attempt to destabilize legally elected representatives.

She called on Forto – whom she described as a vocal advocate of EU integration – to turn away from politicization and division, and instead focus on real work and dialogue among domestic actors for the benefit of all BiH citizens.

Forto, who is also president of Naša stranka /Our Party/, commented on Čović's statement about three federal units, saying he does not see it as an option, and that there is no European coalition with SNSD that he sees as viable to move BiH forward.

He also said that from the opposition in Republika Srpska, one hears "calls for peace, for reason, for the European path".
