SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 6 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik is pursuing active and continuous policy of strengthening Republika Srpska's international standing, thanks to which its voice is heard in the world's most important centres of power, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac said.
Košarac stressed that, thanks to this policy, Republika Srpska has gained international recognition and continues to build friendships and alliances with major world powers such as the USA, Russia, Israel, China and other countries.
He emphasised that this approach promotes the political, economic and other potential of Republika Srpska, while also reaffirming the clear vision of its leadership – Srpska that independently protects its interests, builds partnerships and engages with global actors on an equal footing.
On the other hand, he pointed out, every international success achieved by Republika Srpska causes nervousness and hysteria in official Sarajevo.
"The Sarajevo mentality cannot forgive us our successes and, instead of presenting its own achievements, resorts to unfounded accusations, fabrications and attempts to discredit the leadership of Republika Srpska," Košarac posted on Instagram.
Košarac believes it is clear that what bothers them most is precisely what they cannot control – Republika Srpska's international recognition and political strength.
According to him, the most prominent representative of this policy is Elmedin Konaković, who, following the loss of his political umbrella in the SDA and his mentor Michael Murphy, has apparently also lost his political compass.
He believes that Konaković has evidently taken on certain obligations from some centres of power in the Middle East and must act in their interests, which, he claims, explains his "schizophrenic political behaviour".
"He is a loser both locally and internationally. Under pressure from such commitments, Konaković is doing everything he can to remain in power, believing that by shouting and aggressively drawing attention to himself, he can protect himself and gain immunity from those to whom he has made commitments," Košarac said.
