BANJA LUKA, JUNE 13 /SRNA/ - SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said that the Constitutional Court of BiH is deliberately delaying a decision on the constitutionality of provisions of the Criminal Code of BiH imposed by Christian Schmidt.
"They are deliberately postponing a decision that must be made, or they will once again show that they are acting outside the law or outside any support for the Constitution, because the Constitution precisely and clearly states that only the Parliamentary Assembly can pass laws in BiH and no one else", Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka.
If the Constitutional Court says that someone else can do so, Dodik asked which Constitution they are protecting.
"That is part of the political intrigue of Sarajevo and part of the international community", Dodik noted.
He also assessed that they want the deadline for candidate registration for the elections to pass and thereby become part of what he described as "a disgraceful structure of political criminals gathered in the Prosecutor's Office, the Court and the Constitutional Court of BiH."
The Constitutional Court of BiH told SRNA that the review of the constitutionality of the Criminal Code provisions imposed by Christian Schmidt is a complex matter for the incomplete Constitutional Court, which is why no decision has been made even after six months.
The SNSD Club in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska submitted an appeal to the Constitutional Court of BiH in December last year seeking a review of the constitutionality of certain provisions of the Criminal Code of BiH imposed by Christian Schmidt.
Under the provisions of the Criminal Code of BiH, failure to implement decisions of the "high representative" led to the conviction of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik.
