DODIK: BOSNIAK POLITICS ABUSING DAYTON, SUPPORT TO SPECIAL ELECTORAL UNIT FOR CROATS IN FBiH

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 22 /SRNA/ — President Milorad Dodik believes that a special electoral unit in the Federation of BiH in which the Croat people would elect an authentic representative to the BiH Presidency is the minimum that would not undermine the structure of BiH while ensuring legitimate representation.

"If such a proposal is put forward for consideration, we will support it," Dodik said.

Dodik pointed out that trust cannot be built in BiH when Bosniak politics abuses the letter of the Dayton Agreement when it comes to Croats and its spirit when it comes to Serbs, adding that, as a Christian, he had never believed in spirits.

"Ignoring this reality and believing Sarajevo is now coming back to haunt the Croats," Dodik stated.

He stressed that the desire of Bosniaks to govern Croats does not lead to equality, but rather to further destruction of BiH.

He said that Zagreb is also responsible for the difficult position of Croats in BiH, as it believes that the position of this people can be resolved through rhetoric and cosmetic changes. He added that Croats in BiH had sacrificed their political autonomy precisely because of Croatia's European path.

"They unconditionally followed Croatia in the European integration process, even though Croatia needed their cooperation at the expense of the status guaranteed to them by Dayton," Dodik said on X.
